Miku Menu Redesign

General Description
For this project, the task was to select a pre-existing restaurant and redesign the menu using the criteria of randomly selected materials, special folds, color scheme, and extra items. My criteria was to design a menu with a fabric element, a grayscale color scheme, an experimental fold, and an extra item to go with the menu. I chose a high-end sushi restaurant menu to redesign. The menu cover was wrapped in black velvet with the use of a Japanese book binding technique. The menu design had fish related elements as well as timeless woodblock prints of landscapes with water. This gave the menu a tone of elegance and culture. The extra item was combined with the experimental fold criteria to create a sushi takeout box. The takeout box is the length of a pair of chopsticks that fit snuggly in the box. The box dimensions can fit an estimated two, pre-cut sushi rolls with the ability to stack more on top. The logo was also redesigned to accommodate the high-end style. All elements were printed and physically crafted by myself.
